Fetcham Park Tea on the Terrace

On Saturday July, 14 we were treated to a sumptuous afternoon tea at Fetcham Park, one of the most stylish and elegant venues we’ve seen.  The afternoon event was designed as an opportunity for couples who are getting married to see the house in full swing; buzzing with guests, entertainment and atmosphere. Laura Caudery, (Director of Parallel Venues, Fetcham Park) gathered together her most trusted suppliers to put on a ‘do’ that was uniquely Fetcham. The result was incredible. All the guests experienced first hand how the house looks and feels when fully dressed, (so to speak) and were able to meet and talk with the hand-picked selection of talented wedding professionals who helped make the day what it was. If you are planning your own wedding, we could not recommend these people to you more highly.

Needless to say, tea served in fine bone china with cakes to die for in a setting like this is always going to be delicious. And it was.

We’d like to thank Laura for inviting us to take part and we hope you enjoy the images.

Cowdray Ruins – Sneak Peek

efc photography turns 1!

It all began…

After studying photography together and working on our own for some time, we (that’s us, Bea and Jude) decided that we really enjoyed the few projects we had worked on together and that we would probably do well to combine our resources and really create something special in Wedding Photography.  While we admire so many wedding photographers for their incredible artistry and professionalism, we felt our style was our own and something engaged couples would want for themselves on their wedding day. We really believed we could add something not already available.

After much build up, we finally launched our new venture, ‘efc photography’ on January 1, 2011 and it’s been onwards and upwards ever since.  From the excitement of our first wedding fair and subsequent first booking (the first one is always such a huge relief!) to the full-on summer of wedding after wedding with no breaks in between, we have had an amazing first year together. We have covered weddings, events, portrait sessions, family shoots… even Santa at the local school – and we have loved every minute.

A chance tweet from a non-wedding friend put us in touch with a whole network of bridal suppliers who have been so supportive and helpful ever since. Their badges are to the right and if you use any of their services, you will be dealing with complete professionals. We highly recommend each and every one.

We would like to thank all the couples, families, individuals and businesses we have worked with this year from the bottom of our hearts. You have helped make this first year as great as we could have hoped for and more.  You are all amazing.

Nothing else to say but happy first anniversary to us and we hope to share many more. Please enjoy some of our favourite images from our first year as efc photography.

Weddings in Surrey Tweet-Up Part 2

Here is part two of our Weddings in Surrey Tweet-up coverage. This is what made it such a great night – all the people chatting and being entertained by musicians and magicians, to name a few. Were you there? Can you spot yourself?

Weddings in Surrey Tweet-up

In association with Weddings in SurreyWedding Ideas Magazine and Parallel Venues, Fetcham Park, a fabulous ‘tweet-up’ was held on Thursday, November 17. Laura, Sandra, Pamela, the WIM team and an army of helpers put on the most delightful evening with musicians, champagne, fashion and food.  The guests, wedding tweeters from Surrey and beyond, were warmly welcomed into Fetcham Park where, once inside, the evening disappeared all too quickly talking to friends new and old and sampling the delights on offer. The ‘Shell Room’ was dedicated to showcasing the wares of Miss Bush Bridal WearFairynuff Flowers and Naughty but Yummy. In the first of our blog posts, here are the Shell Room highlights.

In the styling department, huge congratulations to Amy Plank (room), Carolanne Armstrong (make-up) and Sharon Roberts (hair) for your amazing work as always.
