Cams Hall Wedding Fayre

Every year in the height of summer the majestic Cams Hall, located in coastal Hampshire, throws open its doors and plays host to PMN Wedding Fayres‘ flagship event. This year, however, Parallel Venues (who run and own Cams Hall) decided to do things a little differently. This year was to be the ‘Fayre of Fayres’, showing off the house in its full glory.

Laura and the Cams Hall team, ably assisted by a select group of hand-picked suppliers, including Couvert Bespoke Event Hire, Jay Archer Floral Design and Bellissimo Events and Wedding Planners,  set about dressing the Hall, creating several timeless looks. Each look was equally suited to the classic grandeur of the venue, the aim being to show off the entrance hall and the ceremony room, known also as The Oval Room, to their greatest effect.

As the guests arrived and fell in love with this magnificent venue, Laura was there to welcome them with the warmth that Parallel Venues is becoming so well known for.  Laura and her team pride themselves on individual and exemplary service and putting the clients and their guests at the centre of everything they do. If you want to feel like your every need is anticipated and taken care of with genuine care and attention, you need go no further that Parallel Venues.

Throughout the day, Jay was on hand to discuss the finer details of floral installations and how working with your surroundings enhances the building and your own styling – just one look at what she had created from the welcome archway over the entrance door, to the fireplace arrangement and the escort table made of English succulents (more about that later) convinced all of her incredible creativity and talent.

Creating two distinct looks to demonstrate a wedding breakfast set up, the tables were dressed by Couvert who also supplied the lanterns on the spectacular cantilevered stairs. Advising guests about coordinating china, glassware and linens, Isabelle of Couvert both inspired and excited those planning their weddings. Also on hand to talk to guests were County Caterers and Creative Catering who are both preferred caterers to Cams Hall. Melanie of Belissimo Events and Wedding Planners talked informatively of the Hall, providing styling and on the day coordination. And of course, we were there too, to capture the day and discuss the finer points of wedding photography.

We hope you enjoy the images.

Fetcham Park Tea on the Terrace

On Saturday July, 14 we were treated to a sumptuous afternoon tea at Fetcham Park, one of the most stylish and elegant venues we’ve seen.  The afternoon event was designed as an opportunity for couples who are getting married to see the house in full swing; buzzing with guests, entertainment and atmosphere. Laura Caudery, (Director of Parallel Venues, Fetcham Park) gathered together her most trusted suppliers to put on a ‘do’ that was uniquely Fetcham. The result was incredible. All the guests experienced first hand how the house looks and feels when fully dressed, (so to speak) and were able to meet and talk with the hand-picked selection of talented wedding professionals who helped make the day what it was. If you are planning your own wedding, we could not recommend these people to you more highly.

Needless to say, tea served in fine bone china with cakes to die for in a setting like this is always going to be delicious. And it was.

We’d like to thank Laura for inviting us to take part and we hope you enjoy the images.

Weddings in Surrey Tweet-Up Part 2

Here is part two of our Weddings in Surrey Tweet-up coverage. This is what made it such a great night – all the people chatting and being entertained by musicians and magicians, to name a few. Were you there? Can you spot yourself?

Weddings in Surrey Tweet-up

In association with Weddings in SurreyWedding Ideas Magazine and Parallel Venues, Fetcham Park, a fabulous ‘tweet-up’ was held on Thursday, November 17. Laura, Sandra, Pamela, the WIM team and an army of helpers put on the most delightful evening with musicians, champagne, fashion and food.  The guests, wedding tweeters from Surrey and beyond, were warmly welcomed into Fetcham Park where, once inside, the evening disappeared all too quickly talking to friends new and old and sampling the delights on offer. The ‘Shell Room’ was dedicated to showcasing the wares of Miss Bush Bridal WearFairynuff Flowers and Naughty but Yummy. In the first of our blog posts, here are the Shell Room highlights.

In the styling department, huge congratulations to Amy Plank (room), Carolanne Armstrong (make-up) and Sharon Roberts (hair) for your amazing work as always.
