Lucy and Craig’s Shepperton Studios Wedding

Lucy and Craig’s Shepperton Studios wedding in August, 2011 was a day that truly was four seasons in one.  A cool, cloudy morning was spent at Great Fosters in Egham, where the bride got ready in beautiful surroundings. The gents met at a local pub, to be driven to the church in classic green Buick. Despite the rain bucketing down during and after the gorgeous church ceremony, Lucy and Craig kept the faith and made their way to the outdoor portraits venue.  Their perseverance was rewarded with bright sunshine and warm temperatures for the rest of the day – the perfect accompaniment to romantic portraits and a summer evening reception at Shepperton Studios. Being welcomed by their guests in the bright sunshine, with bubbles everywhere created the perfect image of Lucy and Craig arriving at their destination, surrounded by beautiful circles of light.  Bubbles are a great alternative to confetti. They always look beautiful and they leave no mess!

Lucy styled the day in monochrome, which perfectly mirrored the old time feel of being in Littleton House at Shepperton Studios.  It was easy to imagine yourself being on a film set, with all the attending glamour. The cake was the crowning glory, festooned in black and white sugar anemones that looked too good to eat.

If you are planning a monochrome themed wedding, or indeed any Shepperton Studios wedding, we hope you can gain some inspiration from this beautiful day.
